Spiegel excerpt: Obama Lied to the Europeans
Barack Obama cast himself as a "citizen of the world" when he delivered his well-received campaign speech in Berlin in the summer of 2008. But the US president has now betrayed this claim. In his Berlin speech, he was dishonest with Europe. Since then, Obama has neglected the single most important issue for an American president who likes to imagine himself as a world citizen, namely his country's addiction to fossil fuels and the risks of unchecked climate change.<
Who is this dood in Germany who deems to tell us what OUR greatest issue is here in America? Is Germany "addicted" to 21st century life?
I guess it's back to 'the world hating us' till Obama gets his ducks in a row, at which time 'the world will have upped the ante.

To all of you who still believe in man-made global warming/cooling: if you're that eager for a new tax, how about I email my address to you? When you have a little extra money you want to piss away, send it to me instead of the government. I guarantee I'll use it more wisely than they will.

Yes, we do think beyond our borders. We tried to stop the Obama worship that you Europeans were determined to indulge in. Now, you are coming to your senses in that regard. Maybe your next revelation will be that man made global warming is a hoax. Al Gore deserved a Nobel prize,just not the one he got. It should have been for economics. He figured out how to spin CO2 into gold. Perhaps you Europeans are so well taken care of from cradle to grave that you must have something to worry about.

Obama has failed in many ways. The only thing he's been successful at is stealing our money. Where did it go? Where are the real jobs (vs. the made-up jobs)? He lied to us, too. He said he'd be 'transparent'. He spoke to the Chinese this week about being 'open' and 'communication', etc. yet when two experts on global warming published findings that disagree with The One, they were told to keep quiet. The world is slowly waking up to the fact that Obama is a failure and a liar. I doubt very much that he will still be president in 2012 when we plan to vote him out. He may be ousted before that time at the rate he's failing.
