Inside Obama's Acorn- By their fruits ye shall know them.

advertisement

What if Barack Obama's most important radical connection has been hiding in plain sight all along? Obama has had an intimate and long-term association with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (Acorn), the largest radical group in America. If I told you Obama had close ties with MoveOn.org or Code Pink, you'd know what I was talking about. Acorn is at least as radical as these better-known groups, arguably more so. Yet because Acorn works locally, in carefully selected urban areas, its national profile is lower. Acorn likes it that way. And so, I'd wager, does Barack Obama.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

excerpt 2: "This is a story we’ve largely missed. While Obama’s Acorn connection has not gone entirely unreported, its depth, extent, and significance have been poorly understood. Typically, media background pieces note that, on behalf of Acorn, Obama and a team of Chicago attorneys won a 1995 suit forcing the state of Illinois to implement the federal “motor-voter” bill. In fact, Obama’s Acorn connection is far more extensive. In the few stories where Obama’s role as an Acorn “leadership trainer” is noted, or his seats on the boards of foundations that may have supported Acorn are discussed, there is little follow-up. Even these more extensive reports miss many aspects of Obama’s ties to Acorn.

The whole game of playing "Obama was on a charity board that had this person on it, who was a lawyer for that group, who ate lunch with a guy who works for somebody who did something a long time ago" is NOT serving the voters of this country. This the political version of "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" or "Six Degrees of Obama" if you prefer......
Obama represented a broad coalition which included groups from both sides of the aisle, nonpartisan groups AND the United States Department of Justice.  Obama was on the side of the RULE OF LAW.  This is a non-issue that FOX News and certain people think will confuse the voters if they repeat it often enough... The notion that this organization founded to bring the most powerless people out of the cold is part of a powerful conspiracy is so ridiculous as to be laughable, and without the FOZ mouthpiece blaring it 24 hrs a day, the "voter fraud" nonsense would never have started.  Every single bogus registration was caught BY ACORN Managers who FLAGGED each bad form, and handed them in.  They are required by law to turn in every form, even the ones that they flagged as bad forms with fake names.  To throw away even one of the bad forms would have been a crime, so when ACORN found out that a number of the day-laborers that they hired to get signatures were filling out cards themselves to avoid having to work for their pay.  The only victims are Acorn (they paid for workers who basically stole their wages, and handed in bad work that made them look stupid) and Obama (who has been smeared with something that is not as FOX and Nat'l Review imply, and which Obama had nothing to do with anyway) and the last victims are the American people (before the most important election of our time, people are being intentionally mislead, and then misleading others as well.)

Why don't you take break from tilting at windmills and do some homework on your own candidate? You don't even have make things up as he's left an easy to find of debris throughout his life. Sure he's not black and that may take the fun out of it for you but on the plus side you might learn something new and expand your mind.
